We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. Based in the historic coastal city of Portsmouth, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming school community in a city known for its rich maritime history, vibrant waterfront and strong sense of community. Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Assist pupils to access the curriculum and participate in learning activities.
- Support pupils with communication, social and emotional development.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Adapt support and activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and confidentiality.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Flexible and able to respond to individual needs.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ideally experienced in supporting pupils with SEND, although relevant training and transferable skills will be considered.
