We are working with a supportive specialist school in Lancing that is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The Role

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Encourage confidence, resilience, and independence
  • Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

We Are Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (desirable)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
