Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a SEN Maths Teacher to join a supportive SEN secondary school that provides education for students with a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils who require a more personalised and structured approach to learning.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to secondary-aged students with needs that may include Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to ensure students are supported both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver adapted Maths lessons suitable for students with SEN

Support pupils in achieving their EHCP targets and individual learning goals

Use creative and engaging teaching strategies to support understanding and progress

Manage behaviour effectively using positive behaviour strategies

Work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals

Monitor and track student progress
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching Maths at secondary level

Experience or strong interest in working with SEN pupils

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A patient, flexible, and supportive approach
