The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to support pupils with additional needs within our mainstream setting. The role includes teaching small intervention groups, providing targeted in-class support, and working closely with the SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver inclusive, differentiated teaching for pupils with SEN.
  • Provide targeted interventions to support academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Adapt curriculum content and resources to ensure accessibility.
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and contribute to reviews and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, SENCO, parents, and external professionals.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion across the school.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Hold QTS (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream primary setting.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation.
  • Be nurturing, patient, and adaptable.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
