Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Science Teacher to join a supportive SEN secondary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students who require a more personalised approach to learning and support them in achieving their full potential.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You will work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff to create a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver adapted Science lessons to meet individual learning needs

Support students in achieving their EHCP targets and personalised learning goals

Use creative and practical approaches to make learning engaging and accessible

Manage behaviour using positive and supportive strategies

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff

Monitor, assess, and track student progress
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Science at secondary level

Experience or strong interest in working with SEN pupils

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
