SEN Teaching Assistant – All-Through SEN School (Ages 4–19)
Location: Basingstoke
Full-Time | 8.30-3.30 | Monday-Friday | Term-Time Only
£80-£90 a day
Masterclass Education is supporting a fantastic all-through SEN school that caters for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, learning disabilities and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
We are seeking a dedicated, adaptable and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. As an all-through provision, you may be supporting Early Years, Primary, Secondary or Post-16 learners, depending on where your skills are best suited.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning needs.
- Assist with lesson delivery, classroom activities and personalised learning plans.
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils across different age groups.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and SEN specialists.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable, not essential).
- Patient, empathetic and confident in supporting a range of needs.
- Adaptable to different age groups and learning styles.
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
- A passion for supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
