SEN Teaching Assistant – Chichester (Secondary)
Location: Outskirts of Chichester
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/Part-time
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (dependent on experience)
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students within a secondary school on the outskirts of Chichester. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who require additional support to access the curriculum and thrive within a mainstream setting.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
- Support students in lessons to remain engaged and on task.
- Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support.
- Promote inclusion, confidence and independence.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (secondary experience desirable).
- Be calm, patient and resilient.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service.
