Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30, Term time only

Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a mainstream primary school?
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school, providing support to pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work with children with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of additional needs.
- Support children with needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, learning difficulties and other SEND.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and encourage pupil engagement.
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to deliver tailored support.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment across all year groups.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEND setting.
- Has a good understanding of a range of additional needs.
- Is calm, patient, empathetic and resilient.
- Can build positive relationships and support pupils with varying learning styles.
- Works well as part of a team and uses their own initiative.
- Is committed to helping every child succeed.
