SEN Teaching Assistant – Supporting Boys Aged 7–16

Masterclass Education are working with a specialist SEN school that provides high-quality education and support for boys aged 7 to 16 with a range of additional needs.
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis with their learning and development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Build trusting relationships with students to help them feel valued and supported.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent care and guidance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs (preferred but not essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and calm approach to supporting behaviour.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
