SEN Teacher – All-Through Specialist School

Salary: MPS 1- MPS 6

We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher to join a specialist all-through SEN school, supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs and abilities.
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, adapting teaching approaches to suit different learning styles.
- Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress.
- Develop pupils’ communication, independence, social skills and academic abilities.
- Monitor and assess progress, contributing to individual education plans and wider pupil development.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and meaningful engagement in learning.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a specialist school setting.
- Is patient, compassionate, adaptable and resilient.
- Can differentiate lessons and respond effectively to a range of complex learning needs.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to helping every pupil reach their individual potential.
