SEN Teaching Assistant – Chichester

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will become a valued member of a dedicated team, supporting pupils either one-to-one or in small groups. You will help students engage with their learning, support their individual interests and projects, and assist them throughout the school day to ensure they feel confident, supported, and included.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils’ development across all areas of learning and personal growth

Encourage and promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Work closely with teachers to support lessons and individual learning plans

Provide one-to-one or small group support tailored to each child’s needs

Create a safe, calm, and positive environment where pupils feel secure and valued

Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Champion inclusive practice and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed

Provide personal care when required, with dignity and sensitivity
