Teaching Assistant – SEN Primary School
📍 Location: Worthing, West Sussex
💼 Role Type: Monday-Friday | 8:30-3:30 | Term time only
💰 Pay: £80 – £93 per day (depending on experience)
We are currently working with a supportive and forward-thinking SEN primary school that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a real difference in their learning and development.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs
- Provide one-to-one and small group support
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
- Is patient, resilient, and empathetic
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
