Salary: £85-£95 a day

About the Role
We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to support learning within a Year 4 class in a lovely mainstream primary school in the Worthing area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive school team and make a positive difference to pupils’ learning and development.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both within the classroom and through small group or individual interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with their learning across the curriculum
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom organisation and preparation
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Providing support to individuals or small groups where needed
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development

We are seeking someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and helping them achieve their best
- Is patient, positive and nurturing
- Has good communication and teamwork skills
- Can use initiative and work flexibly within the classroom
- Has experience working with primary-aged children (desirable but not essential)
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
