Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are currently recruiting Unqualified Teachers to work on an ad hoc basis across mainstream secondary schools from Worthing through to Brighton. You choose your radius.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience teaching, leading or managing a class of secondary-aged students who wants the flexibility to choose when they work.
Full-time opportunities are also available for candidates looking for a more consistent role within a secondary school.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for delivering planned lessons to a class of secondary-aged students in the absence of their usual teacher.
The expectation is that you will:
- Confidently deliver the pre-planned lesson provided by the school
- Lead and engage a class of students throughout the school day
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
- Follow the school’s behaviour management policies and procedures
- Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning
- Communicate professionally with school staff
- Follow the school’s expectations around safeguarding and student welfare
The Role
- £110 per day
- 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Ad hoc supply work within mainstream secondary schools
- Schools across Worthing, Shoreham, Hove and Brighton
- You choose your preferred travel radius
- Your dedicated consultant will contact you weekly to confirm your availability for the following week
- Flexible work that can fit around university, studies, childcare or other commitments
- Full-time opportunities available for candidates looking for regular work
- Opportunities to gain experience across a range of secondary schools
What We’re Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience teaching or leading a class/group of students
- Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people
- Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour
- The ability to deliver lessons confidently and independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, professional and adaptable approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with students
- A genuine interest in working within education
You do not need to be a qualified teacher. We are looking for candidates who have the experience and confidence to lead a classroom, deliver planned lessons and manage student behaviour effectively.
