Year 4 Classroom Assistant

£85 – £95 a day
We are looking to appoint a caring, proactive and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support teaching and learning in a Year 4 class from September 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel supported and able to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
- Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
- Supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning
- Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement
- Contributing to a calm, purposeful classroom environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and building positive relationships
- Is patient, flexible and able to use initiative
- Has good communication and teamwork skills
- Understands the importance of inclusion and safeguarding
- Can support pupils with a range of learning and emotional needs
- Has experience in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential)
