Master Class Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher to cover maternity leave for the Summer Term at a supportive, relaxed, two‑form entry primary school in East Dulwich.
About the Role
- Full-time Year 5 class teacher for a class of 30 well‑behaved, enthusiastic pupils.
- Supported by a Teaching Assistant four days per week.
- Full planning responsibilities are required; however, detailed planning from previous years is already available, and will only need adjusting to suit the current class during PPA.
- The successful candidate will work alongside a highly experienced partner teacher in the year group.
Start & Handover
- Ideal handover week: Week commencing 23rd March
- Full-time start date: 13th April
Required Experience & Qualifications
To be eligible for the stated rate of pay, applicants must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable)
- Strong classroom management and high expectations for learning and behaviour
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures
